Some of the strangest megalithic monuments are the ones found in the most remote areas of the world – the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This includes the lost civilisation and sunken city of Nan Madol in Micronesia, the Pulemelei Pyramid in Samoa, and of course, the famed Easter Island Moai.
